Product Overview

Medicare platform provides an online doctor consultation service where patient can get medical advice from doctors, book for home consultation, book for appointment during emergency  situations.

Problem Statement

Users always finds difficulty in booking the appointment for the doctors consultation. Software engineers and working people who takes care of their parents find difficulties in booking appointment for their parent's doctor consultation at the correct time either for the home consultation or for the clinic consultation.

Josephine is a Software Engineer who takes care of her grandmother, who usually goes for a regular medical check-up but at times it becomes difficulty for her to book the appointment through call which takes much time to book appointment.

Anderson is a designer in a MNC expressed his experience about a difficult situation that he has gone though. He and his family went for

a trip where his father experienced a sudden breathing trouble, in the middle of the way, he couldn't find a hospital, while he went to a nearby hospital, on arriving he found that, it's not a heart specialty 

hospital, this made him frustrated a lot during that time, later he took his father to another hospital for the treatment.

Elizabeth olsen is a school teacher lives in Chennai for about 10years. She take care of her father who is housebound. She finds it difficult to find a doctor who comes for home checkup for her father. Those who are home consulting are quite busy during some point of time, so she feels to find a alternate way to find doctor who takes up home consultation

Identified 2 user groups and conducted around 12 User interviews

Emergency Concerns

I conducted a secondary method and user interviews to find out the common emergencies being admitted in hospitals.

According to reports of the better India, and with user interviews I came up with the common emergency cases follow;

  • Breathing Difficulties

  • Seizure/ Epilepsy

  • Heart Attack

  • A stroke

  • Accident

  • Burns and Scalds

  • Major cuts

  • Fracture

  • Eye Trauma

  • Electrocution

  • Acute Abdominal Pain

Emergency Cases

Seen Case:
Most Commonly happens in Accident cases where Ambulance person sees and take him to the hospital or unknown person see the injured patient and call ambulance to take him/her to the hospital. 


Usually the ambulance inform the hospital regarding the information of the patient and decides which hospital to take over and also inform the information regarding of the ventilation requirement..

Referral Case:
This type of case happen when the patient goes to the primary health center and the treatment can't be done over there because of the facilities that aren't available over there.
In such cases, the primary health centers refers the superspeciality hospital to the patient for the further treatment.

Design Solution

By using this emergency case booking, we can book the case and inform regarding the patient situation and also we can also skip the referral by finding the right hospital for admitting the patient.

Usability Testing
